Water… how to drink? how much to drink And is it worth it!

The topic of drinking water has been known to us all since childhood. Unfortunately, we can’t drink enough during the day. Why Because it is the most difficult change, because it concerns our everyday life, it is a change of eating habit. It is worth mentioning that the daily requirement for an adult according to WHO is 2.5-3.0l of water *, every day of the year. * Still, spring water with a total mineral content not exceeding 250mg / l. In the summer, with increased effort and mineral deficiency, it is worth reaching for the mineral water necessary in magnet, potassium, sodium and calcium – which support the proper functioning of the heart and the entire circulatory system.

Below is my proven way to increase daily water demand. And at this point it is worth adding that the “one-time” water intake should not exceed more than 250 ml, because a larger amount in such a short time will make the body spend thanks to increased kidney function.

Morning – I start with a glass of water
Breakfast – a glass of tea or other drink – but not coffee.
Working time from 9:00 where I drink a glass of water every hour.
Every next hour at work or wherever I am, I set myself an “alarm clock” on the phone and drink every hour – another glass of water.
From 9:00 to 16:00 – I drink 2l of water!
Time after work is 17:00 and 18:00 respectively – the next – 2 glasses of water
Dinner – a glass of tea or other liquid – but not coffee
Before going to bed – a glass of water.
Why not coffee – it’s a drink that flushes out necessary minerals from our body. We have a deficit of 0.5l of water for every cup of coffee. It is worth remembering while enjoying another cup during the day.

Summing up the quantities:

  1. Before work – 0.5l
  2. At work – 2l
  3. After work 0.5-1l
Daily between 3-3.5l of liquids including a minimum of 2.5l of water only.

The time of adaptation of the body to equalize the level of water in men is even a month, in women about 2 weeks. This is due to the fact that the body’s water content in men is 60% and in women it is 40%.

Below is some information why it is worth drinking water and how it helps us.
Water performs a number of important functions in our body, including:

  • helps remove toxins from the body,
  • protects against the formation of sand and stones in the kidneys,
  • protects against heart attacks and strokes,
  • helps maintain proper body temperature,
  • supports weight loss,
  • improves skin elasticity and helps maintain a youthful appearance,
  • prevents excessive fatigue and improves memory and concentration.

It is impossible to list all the functions of water in the body, but without it basic life processes could not occur. 1% dehydration results in headaches, anxiety, distraction and excessive thirst; 20% dehydration is a life-threatening condition for adults.
When you forget about the alarm clock, your change will become a habit …
And you, how many glasses of water did you drink today?
